There are several good quality brands of house safes on the market including: Chubb,
Honeywell, Protex, Am Sec Wall Safes (AMERICAN SECURITY), Hayman ,
BioVault, Gardall, Mesa, and Sentry to name some of the leading manufacturers. Prices, features, security and
fire ratings vary, so selecting the right one really depends on the customer’s requirements and security
needs.
One product that has a good quality reputation is the Amsec wall
safe. They are built to a high standard and are reasonably priced. Am Sec have a variety of options for
property owners to select from. Some focus more on protection from fire damage and others in the range are
particularly resistant to break-ins.
So, whatever your needs there will be an Amsec safe to meet your
security needs.

The Am Sec WS1214 includes a handle activated locking mechanism consisting of five 3/4" diameter chrome steel
locking bolts. Other technical specifications include a one-piece heavy-duty dead bar, two removable shelves,
and an extra deep interior.
When the risk of fire is a concern the Am Sec WFS149 is a good
choice. The WF149 Amsec has a 1 hour fire rating, insuring the inside temperature never exceeded 350°. It has a
Group 2 combination lock with knob operated locking mechanism and an impressive 1/2” thick door. This Am sec
wall safe is equipped with side locking bolt-work mechanism incorporating 1/2” steel deadbolts. It is finished
off with an extra deep interior, with a convenient drawer shelf.
The Amsec WES2114 is a model with excellent burglary protection.
It has a heavy duty steel body, 3/16” solid steel door and flange. The WES2114 has an easy to use push button
electronic lock. This gives solid protection with the accessibility of quick entry and easy-change combination.
Dual live bolts ensure protection against pry attacks. This Am Sec product also has a standard key
over-ride, in case of lost combination.
Amsec (short for American Security) is an excellent brand and
well worth considering if you are looking at buying security storage devices. Shop around and compare prices.
You might come across cheaper brands and models, but be careful to compare apples with apples. Check the
quality as well as fire and cash ratings. There is no point in buying a locker or cabinet that fails
to do the job.
Unfortunately, you might not know this until the worst has
happened. So, spend a little extra to get a brand you can trust. And, consider buying a slightly larger safe
than you currently need. You’ll be surprised what valuables might end up stored over time.
