Biometric Fingerprint Identification Safes
There have been several major advances in home security in recent years to
combat the rise in criminal activity in most countries. Home owners are installing intruder alarms and security
safes for home storage of valuables and firearms. Many of these security systems now use biometric fingerprint
identification.
Biometric fingerprint safes and door locks are basically digital locks
that open when a finger is scanned over a laser beam. Fingerprint safes are sometimes simply referred to as
finger print safes.
A biometric wall safe is digital security as opposed to the more
traditional key locking, or combination lock dial opening system. A security safe with biometric fingerprint
identification, removes the need to keep a key or remember a secret combination code. You simply swipe your
finger to get the door to open. Depending on the brand, several different users can be programmed to get
access.
We have all seen this technology on movies where someone has their
eye scanned to gain access to a high security area. Biometric fingerprint identification is very similar, but
uses a finger instead of someone’s eye for identification. The technology allows the digital security safe to
read stored information (in this case finger print patterns). When someone scans their finger the technology
reads the data and searches for matches that have been preauthorized. If it detects a perfect match the door
will open in less than a second. So, security safes for the home has come a long way and made life a lot more
difficult for burglars and criminals looking to steal valuables or guns.
Thanks to biometric finger print identification, firearms can be kept away
from children and teenagers too. There would be nothing worse than a child finding a hidden key, or observing a
combination code and opening a home gun safe or rifle cabinet. The results could be tragic. However, thanks to
the technology, in the case of a home invasion the home owner could be out of bed with a weapon in hand within
seconds.
If you have one of the older style home wall safes,
you might want to consider the newer digital technology with biometric fingerprint
identification.
There are also biometric door locks, which are basically keyless entry
door locks. They use the same biometric finger print identification where the user scans his or her finger print
to open the door and gain access. Keyless entry door locks are great if you are the kind of person who doesn’t
want to carry a key everywhere. The door locks are probably the most advanced technology, unless you prefer
a digital key pad with numbers you can code in.
Biometric fingerprint
identification is an amazing invention and is ideal for home security use. Fingerprint safes and
biometric door locks are becoming more commonplace. The technology is convenient, easy to use, and generally
provides and increased level of security access. There are many brands of biometric fingerprint safes that
can easily be mounted in any wall. The technology typically runs with a long-lasting rechargeable 12 volt
battery.
